Ingredients:
50 grams of dairy butter
125 grams whole-wheat flour
1 teaspoon liquid stevia
1 teaspoon baking powder
2 teaspoons speculaaskruiden
Pinch of salt
1 egg yolk
2 tablespoons semi-skimmed milk
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 150°C.
- Put all the dry ingredients in a bowl and stir them together.
- Melt the butter in a pan over low heat.
- Turn off the heat and add the egg yolks and milk to the butter. Mix well.
- Then add the butter mixture to the dry ingredients and knead until a dough is formed.
- Cover the dough and put it in the fridge for half an hour.
- Line a baking tray with baking paper.
- Roll small balls of dough and press them a little on the baking tray.
- Make sure that the balls are not too close to each other, because they will still rise.
- Place the tray in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
- Allow the gingerbread buttons to cool down a little and then they are ready to eat.
