Finding healthy snacks is not always an easy task. Luckily, we’re here to provide inspiration! Today we are making delicious granola bars. Delicious, healthy and easy to digest after a workout or even after a meal.
Ingredients:
3 tablespoons honey
4 tablespoons neutral oil (or coconut oil or butter)
150 grams oat flakes (or oatmeal, spelt or buckwheat flakes)
50 grams walnuts (or other nut of choice)
50 grams pumpkin seeds (or flaxseeds or sunflower seeds)
2 teaspoons gingerbread herbs (or cinnamon)
1/2 teaspoon vanilla powder (or vanilla essence)
pinch of salt
50 grams raisins
2 whipped egg whites
Preparation
- Preheat the hot air oven to 180 degrees.
- Heat the honey with the oil in a saucepan and mix well.
- Add all the dry ingredients to a bowl and mix together.
- Then add the honey oil mixture and mix until sticky.
- Divide the granola between the 8 molds. If using a cake tin, add 2 beaten egg whites to the mixture. This will bind it together, otherwise the granola will not be easy to cut into bars.
- Make sure the raisins are on the surface as little as possible, because they burn quickly.
- Press the granola with a spoon VERY firmly. This reduces the chance of the granola falling apart after cutting.
- Put in the oven for 20 minutes. Take out and let cool completely before removing the granola bars from the mold.
- If you are using a different mold, allow the bars to cool before cutting them.
